Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 September 2026
Short version: Ship It! is designed so that normal gameplay does not require an account and gameplay data stays on your device. We do not sell personal data, run advertising inside the app, or use gameplay data for behavioural advertising. If you choose to join the beta, we collect the email address you submit so that we can administer beta access. We also use privacy-focused website analytics to understand overall site usage.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy explains how privacy is handled when you use the Ship It! Product Management Simulator Android application, participate in a Google Play test or beta, visit the Ship It! website, or contact us about the game.

The developer/operator is [DEVELOPER OR COMPANY NAME]. For privacy questions, contact [PRIVACY EMAIL].

2. Information used by the Android app

The app is intended to work without creating an account. Game progress, settings, completed-game history and similar gameplay information are stored locally on your device so that you can continue games and review previous results. We do not receive that local gameplay information merely because you use the app.

The app does not intentionally collect your contacts, precise location, photos, microphone recordings, advertising ID, payment information or browsing history.

3. Google Play testing and distribution

If you download or test the app through Google Play, Google processes information needed to operate Google Play, manage test participation, distribute the app, protect users and developers, and provide store and technical services. That processing is controlled by Google and is subject to Google's own privacy terms.

Google Play Console may also provide developers with technical information such as installation statistics, device/Android-version breakdowns, crash information and Android vitals. Where we receive this information, we use it only to understand app reliability, compatibility and beta quality.

4. Beta registration, feedback and support

If you voluntarily sign up for the beta through this website, we collect the email address you submit together with the time of registration and a simple source label identifying the Ship It! website. Beta signup information is stored in a Turso database.

If you complete a feedback form, send an email, or otherwise contact us, we may also receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, feedback, screenshots or device details.

We use this information to administer the beta, respond to you, investigate bugs, improve the game and decide what to build next. We do not use beta contact details for unrelated marketing unless you have separately agreed to receive it.

5. Website data

The website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may process standard request, traffic, security and technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, which can include information such as IP address, request time, browser or device information and the page requested.

If the site links to Google Play or another third-party service, that third party may collect information according to its own privacy policy once you follow the link.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall use of this website, for example page visits and general information about how visitors reach and use the site. We use this information to understand site performance and interest in Ship It! and to improve the website.

We do not use website analytics for behavioural advertising, and we do not intentionally place third-party advertising or marketing trackers in the app or on this website. If we materially change the analytics or advertising technologies we use, this policy and any relevant store disclosures will be updated.

7. How long information is kept

Locally stored gameplay information remains on your device until you delete it through the app (where that option is available), clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

Beta signup information stored in Turso, and information you send directly to us including beta feedback and support correspondence, is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to run the beta, contact or manage testers, resolve issues, improve the product, meet legal obligations, or deal with disputes.

8. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that are necessary to operate the service, including Vercel for website hosting and analytics, Turso for storage of beta signup information, and Google for Android app testing and distribution. We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, users or the security of the service.

9. International processing

Some service providers, including Vercel, Turso and Google, may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where we directly appoint a processor for personal information under our control, we will use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards where required.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information that we hold about you, including rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, and in some circumstances data portability. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Because ordinary gameplay data is stored locally and is not sent to us, we generally cannot identify, retrieve or delete that device-only information for you. You can remove it from your own device by using relevant in-app controls, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app.

11. Children

Ship It! is not designed as a service directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we control. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but the app is deliberately designed to minimise the personal information that needs to leave your device.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game, beta programme, website or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published at this page with an updated date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will take any additional steps required by applicable law.
